With Circus Circus' free top-ranked circus acts from 11 am - midnight daily, and Grand Slam Canyon Theme Park featuring 9 rides and other family oriented attractions, this town has made a commitment to attracting family vacationers.

The MGM Grand now has The King Looney Activity Center: four separate rooms, all geared to children of different ages. The activity center is only available to registered guests, so kids have a terrific time.

On the other side of The Strip, a family can journey back to medieval England at the Excalibur. Walk up a drawbridge into this castle-like hotel, where jugglers, knights in armor, and costumed minstrels troll around in a very un-casino-like atmosphere.

Few of the hotels offer planned children's activities, but most have baby-sitting available. If the adults want to head out for the day or evening without children, they can book the kids on their own tour. Silver Safari Youth Expeditions offers ten tours for children aged 6 - 16. To entertain these young vacationers, the company offers supervised horseback rides, trips to Wet 'n Wild, and stops at the Scandia Fun Center for miniature golf, batting cages, and bumper cars. Tours last from five to eight hours.

For car buffs, do not miss this collection of over 200 classic cars, including Hitler's 1939 Mercedes-Benz, W.C. Fields' 1938 Cadillac, and President John F. Kennedy's bulletproof "bubble top" limo.

Wet 'n Wild
From late April through the end of September, the best way to cool off is at Wet 'n Wild, a 26-acre water park that has the world's highest and fastest waterslide, a quarter-mile Lazy River float, and a special mini-water park for toddlers.

Southern Nevada Zoological Park
Exotic animals! Bengal Tigers, African Lions, and Barbary Apes! There's also a large collection of native wildlife, allowing children the opportunity to see coyotes, badgers, raccoons, desert tortoises, and lizards ... up close and personal!
