What are Amtrak® Vacation "Samplers"?

• They're samples of our most popular destination packages, and a good starting point to help you plan your vacation.
• "Samplers" generally include transportation, two nights hotel accommodations and sightseeing ... you can mix and match to fit your taste and budget.

How do I customize my trip?

• Our "Samplers" are just suggestions: upgrade to private sleeping car accommodations, add tours, choose any number of hotel nights, rent a car or get tickets for a show.
• You can even combine several "Samplers", visiting your choice of cities along the way.
• Out time saving Air Rail service lets you travel one way on board Amtrak, the other way by United Airlines® or United Express®.
• Take a new Amtrak Adventures trip and fly United Airlines both to and from the train -- the train trip is your vacation!
• Cruise Rail gives you the best of train travel en route to a fun-filled cruise and can be combined with a United Airlines flight home.

How are "Samplers" priced?

• Quoted prices are for off-peak coach travel and are per person, based on double occupancy (two in a room).
• For the lowest prices, travel in the off-peak season, usually January/February, when travel demand is less (peak season prices are higher since they coincide with increased travel periods); call early to reserve the most popular options and accommodations at the lowest prices.
