Kauai

Kauai, the Island of Discovery, has long been giving visitors a taste of Eden. Cloaked in primary colors, Kauai beckons visitors with lush mountains, emerald grottos, hidden beaches, and cascading waterfalls. Almost 100 miles of ocean separate Kauai from Honolulu. The island has retained much of its early charm.

Kauai's Mt. Waialeale is the wettest land on earth, receiving some 450 inches of annual rainfall; Waimea Canyon is a 10-mile gorge lined with miles of hiking trails.

The 186-acre National Tropical Botanical Gardens has the largest collection of tropical plants in the world.

Serving regional cuisine are Roy's Poipu Bar & Grill and A Pacific Cafe in Kapaa's Kauai Shopping Village and Hamura's Saimin Stand in Lihue.
